Day 4 | Farewell Banquet

The Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) Convention 2024 culminated in an unforgettable Farewell Banquet held on 21 November 2024, at the Marriot Grand Ballroom. As the final activity of the four-day convention, the banquet served as a celebration of achievement, collaboration, and the shared vision of intellectual property professionals across the globe.
In his address, APAA President Atty. Hari Subramaniam expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Organizing Committee for their outstanding efforts in hosting a successful convention in Manila. He recognized the pivotal roles of Attys. Lorna Patajo-Kapunan, Alex Ferdinand S. Fider, Pablo M. Gancayco, and Rico V. Domingo in bringing the event to life. Their leadership and dedication, coupled with the warm hospitality of the Philippines, set the stage for a memorable gathering. He also noted that while the convention officially concludes, not all good things truly come to an end—especially in the Philippines, a country renowned for its extended celebration of Christmas, where the festive season begins as early as September and lasts well into January.
The banquet also showcased the rich cultural heritage and exceptional talent of the Philippines. Attendees were treated to captivating performances by renowned artists Lara Maigue and Gian Magdangal, among others, who infused the evening with the vibrancy and artistry that Filipinos are celebrated for. The performances were a testament to the host country’s ability to blend professionalism with cultural pride, leaving a lasting impression on all present.
As the evening drew to a close, the Farewell Banquet reflected the triumph of the four-day convention. It was not just a celebration of the event’s success but also a tribute to the bonds forged, ideas exchanged, and progress made during the gathering. The APAA Convention 2024 ended on a high note, with participants departing with renewed inspiration and a shared commitment to advancing intellectual property across the region and beyond.
